Job summary

Alstom is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter for the Sydney LightRail project in Lilyfield. The role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on rail equipment, diagnosing faults, and delivering repairs with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work in a rotating day/night shift roster on a 6-month contract, with potential for permanent employment. Applicants should have Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent and prior rail/industrial maintenance

Qualifications

Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
Previous maintenance experience in rail, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
Strong mechanical fault-finding, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on rail equipment and systems.
Diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and identify equipment failures.
Carry out repairs and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with strict safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
