Job summary

Re.Group is seeking a Maintenance Fitter for the Chinderah Materials Recovery Facility. The role runs Monday to Friday, 5am–1pm, contributing to safe, reliable operations at the Chinderah plant.

Ideal candidates bring mechanical maintenance and fitting experience, strong fault-finding skills, and a solid safety mindset. FIFO or site familiarity is not required, but a proactive, hands-on approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance and fitting experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to safety in a busy plant environment.
• Formal mechanical trade qualifications are required.
• Current Forklift Licence and EWP ticket.
• Ability to collaborate with operators, contractors and site team.
• Hands-on, proactive problem solving approach.
• Willingness to address issues rather than ignore them.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Fault find across mechanical equipment and plant.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with operations, contractors and site management.
• Ensure maintenance is safe and high quality.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues.
