Job summary

Somerville Retail Services in Tottenham is seeking a Permanent full-time Industrial Maintenance Fitter on Day shift, 12-hour roster, working 7 days in a 14-day cycle. You will perform routine maintenance, fault finding and preventative maintenance across an automated meat processing facility.

The role requires experience in food manufacturing, strong problem solving, OH&S commitment and good communication. Rostered weekend work is a requirement.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on the manufacturing facility.
• Fault find to ensure production targets are met and equipment performance is optimized.
• Play a key role in an ongoing preventative maintenance program.
• Work with highly automated equipment, including robotic systems, across packaging lines.

Industrial Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift 12 hr Roster

Somerville Retail Services located in Tottenham is a leading producer of retail ready food products for the Supermarket industry.

We now have a permanent full-time position for a IndustrialMaintenance Fitter on Day shift, 12hrs per shift, work 7 days out of a 14-day roster.

Rostered weekend work is a requirement in this role.

Work Week 1

Days of work—Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday

Days off—Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Work Week 2

Days of work—Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Days off—Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday

Responsibilities include:

• Routine maintenance functions for the manufacturing facility


• Machine fault finding to ensure challenging production targets are met andequipment optimization.


• Integral role in an ongoing preventative maintenance program.


• Our plant is highly automated, including state of the art robotic systems, with an extensive variety of packaging equipment. Your skills will be enhanced with exposure to these complex systems.

Requirements are:

• Previous experience within the meat processing or other food related industry


• A desire for continuous improvement


• Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety including a sound knowledge of risk assessment and control processes.


• Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills


• A systematic approach to problem solving/trouble shooting.


• Understanding of and commitment to preventative maintenance principles and techniques.


• A focus on good manufacturing practices and an understanding of production processes and food processing equipment


• A solid background in fast moving consumer goods


• Worked shift positions in your past employment history.


• A proactive and flexible approach to their role


• Experience with Food Manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
