Job summary

Zoetis in Rutherford, NSW, is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to support equipment maintenance and repair across the site. The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, TIG welding, and strong fault-finding abilities.

You will work with lathes, mills and light fabrication tools, reading technical drawings and improving equipment performance. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing, a focus on safety and GMP compliance, and a proactive approach to

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• TIG welding with stainless steel light gauge material.
• Workshop experience with lathes, mills and light fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and correct equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake off-site work as required, including installations, modifications and breakdowns.
• Undertake equipment installations and modifications as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with a maintenance system.
• Respond to breakdowns of filling lines, packaging lines and tablet equipment.
• Assist with other site work including buildings, offices and site equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area and workshop.
• Identify, coordinate and implement improvements to equipment, procedures, line operation and WHS.
• Be available for call-out work after hours and for overtime as required.

Position summary

The principal purpose of this role is to support the efficiency and performance of the business through diligent maintenance and repair of equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Undertake off-site work as required, including installations, modifications & breakdown situations.

Undertake equipment installations and modifications as required.

Carrying out preventative maintenance duties in accordance with a preventative maintenance system.

Respond to breakdowns of filling lines, packaging lines and tablet compression equipment, etc.

Assist with other assigned site work including buildings, offices and site equipment, etc.

Maintain good housekeeping practices in your work area and in the maintenance workshop.

Identify, co-ordinate and implementing improvements to equipment and procedures, line operation and equipment WHS.

Availability to undertake call- out work for after normal hour’s duties, including breakdowns, site security, safety incidents, etc.

Availability to undertake overtime work as in line with company requirements, including breakdowns, maintenance, installations, safety, etc.

Education and experience

Previous experience with air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Knowledge of GMP requirements. (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Previous experience with pneumatic & hydraulic systems.

TIG welding experience with stainless steel light gauge material.

Workshop experience with lathes, mills and light fabrication equipment.

3 Years plus experience in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to multitask competing demands.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Demonstrated ability to proactively troubleshoot and correct problems with equipment and controls.
