Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Fitter for a well-established manufacturing site in Queensland. You will provide mechanical maintenance support across production machinery and site infrastructure, helping keep equipment reliable and downtime minimal.

The role requires Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and experience in FMCG or industrial environments, with strong pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs
• Hydraulic maintenance and fault finding

• Participate in planned shutdowns and occasional overtime when required

Maintenance Fitter

A well-established manufacturing site is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its maintenance team.

You’ll provide mechanical maintenance support across production machinery and site infrastructure, helping keep equipment reliable, minimise downtime and ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs
• Hydraulic maintenance and fault finding
• Pneumatic maintenance
• Participate in planned shutdowns and occasional overtime when required
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and minimise repeat breakdowns

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within FMCG or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion

What's on offer:

Monday to Friday - 6:45am – 3pm

$96,956 Per annum (inclusive of super)
