Job summary

Holcim Australia and New Zealand's Humes division seeks an experienced Maintenance Fitter based in Swanbank, QLD to ensure safe, reliable maintenance of pre-cast concrete plant equipment across the region.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and manage external contractors while collaborating with operations to meet safety, performance, and cost targets. A strong background in industrial maintenance and SAP PM is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance and breakdown support within an industrial or operational environment.
• Experience maintaining fixed plant, mobile plant, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience engaging and managing external contractors and service providers.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and asset reliability principles.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective technical solutions.
• Sound computer literacy and ability to use maintenance and reporting systems.
• Clear and effective communication with operational, technical, and external stakeholders.
• Leadership skills and experience.
• Experience using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) or similar is highly desirable.

About the role

Based out of Swanbank, QLD, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance of plant, equipment, and associated assets across the pre-cast concrete plant operations within the region. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role has primary accountability for preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and contractor management to minimise downtime and support continuous operational performance.

The role works closely with operations and external service providers to ensure maintenance activities are planned, prioritised, and executed in line with safety, operational, and commercial requirements.
