Job summary

Holcim Australia is seeking a Production Manager/Senior Supervisor to lead the on-site manufacturing operations in Ipswich, Queensland. The role focuses on coordinating daily production plans, ensuring safety, quality and timely output, with prestress/precast concrete experience as an absolute requirement.

You will manage multiple teams, allocate resources, drive continuous improvement and mentor a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Experience in prestress or precast or reinforced concrete manufacture.
• Prestress experience with large beams essential.
• Previous experience in a production or supervisory role.
• Multiple machinery operation tickets (ideal).
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Sound problem solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
• Effective leadership abilities to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively coordinate daily production plan & schedules.

• Maintain a safe system of work for the workplace.
• Take a proactive approach to all safety matters including leading by example.
• Ensure the team are recording production output, downtime, reject, rework on sheets provided and communicating appropriately with their teams.
• Consult with the Production Manager and/or HR on employee relations, grievance & disciplinary matters.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of information for payroll related matters.
• Communicate the daily/ weekly goals to the team.
• Ensure competent performance in area and address deficiencies, as far as possible, by providing appropriate tools, training & coaching support.
• Supervise appropriate use and maintenance of assets in area - moulds, materials.
• Liaise with production management and other supervisors for efficient resource allocation.
• Ensure products meet quality management standards.
• Ensure compliance with critical quality rules and procedures.
• Provide leadership and support to the production team.
• Handle administrative tasks and contribute to operational improvements.
