Job summary

Lutheran Services Australia invites applications for a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor at Immanuel Gardens Aged Care in Buderim, QLD. The role combines hands-on maintenance with team leadership, planning and contractor coordination to keep facilities safe and welcoming for residents, staff and visitors.

To succeed you should have a trade or construction background, experience supervising a small team and a solid knowledge of building maintenance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Grounds & Maintenance team.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor maintenance schedules and works.
• Undertake maintenance and repairs within your skill set.
• Coordinate contractors, tradespeople and external suppliers.
• Advise on building maintenance and minor projects.
• Manage maintenance systems, requests and documentation.
• Monitor equipment, chemicals and supplies.
• Ensure WHS compliance and safety.
• Support fire safety compliance and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call roster when required.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to lead maintenance and grounds operations at our Immanuel Gardens Aged Care facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a trade or construction background who enjoys combining hands-on maintenance with team leadership, planning and contractor coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, well maintained and welcoming for residents, staff and visitors.

Location: Buderim - QLD Role Type: Full Time | Monday to Friday | 7.30 am - 3.30 pm

Remuneration: $33.71 - $34.32ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the Grounds & Maintenance team
• Planning, coordinating and monitoring maintenance schedules and works
• Undertaking maintenance and repair work in line with your skills and qualifications
• Coordinating contractors, tradespeople and external suppliers
• Providing advice on building maintenance, improvements and minor projects
• Managing maintenance systems, work requests and documentation
• Monitoring equipment, chemicals and maintenance supplies
• Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements
• Supporting fire safety compliance, servicing and documentation
• Participating in an on-call recall roster where required.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in construction, building maintenance, a trade or facilities maintenance environment
• Experience supervising or leading a small maintenance team
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, grounds or facilities management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• A commitment to safe work practices and quality outcomes
• A current Driver's Licence & obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
