Job summary

The role also supports Operational Risk Management, ensuring maintenance activities align with ISO 31000 principles, and involves training, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years in maintenance and operations.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance is essential.
• Experience with asset lifecycle management and O&M documentation is required.
• Exposure to ISO 31000 risk management principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Maintenance Management Plan including preventive and predictive strategies.
• Review and improve O&M manuals and asset preservation strategies.
• Lead maintenance activities across construction, commissioning, and operations with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver technical training on predictive and equipment maintenance and prepare customer materials.
• Support risk management through workshops, risk registers, and ISO 31000 compliance.

Roster: 14 Days On / 7 Days Off (14/7 FIFO Roster)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background in Hydropower or Power Generation to lead maintenance planning, predictive maintenance, and asset lifecycle management for a large-scale power generation facility. This role will also support Operational Risk Management, ensuring maintenance activities align with industry best practices and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Maintenance Management Plan, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and performance.
• Review and improve Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, maintenance procedures, operational documentation, and asset preservation strategies.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during construction, commissioning, and operational phases while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Deliver technical training on predictive maintenance and equipment maintenance, and prepare customer training materials and documentation.
• Support operational risk management by participating in risk workshops, maintaining risk registers, updating risk management systems, and ensuring compliance with ISO 31000 principles.

Key Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and operations within a Hydropower Plant, Power Generation Plant, or Energy Plant, including at least 3 years in hydropower or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance, asset lifecycle management, and O&M documentation.
• Exposure to operational risk management with a sound understanding of the ISO 31000 risk management framework.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, training, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.
