Job summary

Austcorp Executive is seeking a dual-trade Maintenance Technician for a permanent night shift on a busy food manufacturing site in Sydney. You will maintain reliability across conveyors, pumps, motors and automated equipment with a NSW electrical licence and proven fault-finding skills.

The role offers a permanent Sunday-to-Thursday roster with a 11:00 pm–7:00 am shift and a base rate of $55–$65 per hour, plus 30% night-shift loading and potential to earn up to $84.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical and mechanical trade qualifications.
• Current NSW electrical licence.
• Experience in maintenance within high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding across production lines.
• Planned and preventative maintenance of conveyors, motors, gearboxes and pumps.
• Responding to breakdowns and production issues to minimise downtime.
• Maintain production equipment and safety records in alignment with site procedures.

An established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced dual-trade Maintenance Technician to join its permanent night-shift team. The role

Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will help maintain production reliability and minimise downtime across the facility.

• Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding
• Planned and preventative maintenance
• Responding to breakdowns and production issues
• Maintaining conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps and production machinery
• Troubleshooting sensors, control systems and automated equipment
• Supporting continuous‑improvement and reliability initiatives
• Completing maintenance records and communicating equipment issues
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures

About you

• Recognised electrical and mechanical trade qualifications
• A current NSW electrical licence
• Previous maintenance experience within food, beverage, FMCG, packaging or another high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
• Experience working with automated production and conveyor systems
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
• The ability to work independently on permanent night shift
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills

Experience with PLC fault‑finding, pneumatics, hydraulics and high-speed packaging equipment would be highly regarded.
