You will join the site maintenance team to keep production and packaging equipment operating safely and efficiently, performing both reactive and preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled machinery and related systems.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, control systems and automated machinery.
• Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across PLC-controlled equipment and control systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Complete scheduled maintenance checks, inspections and documentation.
• Work safely and in accordance with WHS and food safety requirements.
• Liaise with supervisors to prioritise urgent breakdowns and maintenance works.

Licensed Electrician needed for a stable night shift role in food Manufacturing, with a pathway from 3-month casual trial to permanent full-time.

We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Electrician to join our client’s maintenance team on a long-term temp-to-permanent opportunity. Our client is looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with the business. The successful candidate will initially commence on a 3-month casual trial through our agency, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position following successful performance and a good fit with the team.

About the Role

Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping production and packaging equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance on production and packaging machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across PLC-controlled equipment, motors and control systems
• Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Completing scheduled maintenance checks, inspections and documentationWorking safely and in accordance with WHS and food safety requirements
• Liaising with production supervisors and the maintenance team to prioritise urgent breakdowns and maintenance works

About You To be successful, you will have:

• A current Electrical Licence
• Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing or production environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLCs, motors, control systems and automated machinery
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
• The ability to work independently and respond calmly under pressure
• A strong commitment to safety and quality
• The ability to work 10:00pm – 6:00am, Monday to Friday
