Job summary

Core Talent is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent night shift in Auburn/Sydney. The role offers $142,000 plus OT and super, with $55/hr plus 30% night shift loading and premium overtime rates.

You’ll join an established engineering team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with significant overtime potential. Responsibilities include fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and PLC/vfd/motor control troubleshooting, ensuring safety and quality compliance on night shifts

Qualifications

• NSW Electrical Licence required.
• Experience in food, FMCG, beverage, packaging or manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting with automated equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Proactive maintenance mindset focused on reliability.
• Independent worker with safety focus during breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and breakdown repairs on production equipment.
• Preventative and planned maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, VSDs and controls.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for reliability.

$142,000 + OT + Super

A leading food manufacturing company based in Auburn is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its established engineering team on a permanent night shift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with significant overtime available at premium rates.

The Role

Working as part of the night shift maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping production running safely and efficiently, including:

• Electrical fault finding and breakdown repairs across production equipment
• Preventative and planned maintenance on manufacturing and packaging machinery
• Troubleshooting PLCs, sensors, motors, VSDs and control systems
• Responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime
• Supporting equipment upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams to maintain plant reliability
• Completing maintenance activities in line with food safety, quality and WHS requirements

About You

We're looking for a qualified electrician with:

• NSW Electrical Licence
• Previous maintenance experience within food, FMCG, beverage, packaging or manufacturing
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with automated production equipment
• Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, motors, sensors and control systems
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and reliability
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during breakdown situationsStrong commitment to safety and food manufacturing standards
