Job summary

PMFresh, an Australian-owned food manufacturing business, is seeking a Shift Electrician for afternoon and night shifts to keep high-volume production running safely and efficiently. You will respond to electrical breakdowns, perform planned maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of industrial equipment.

The role offers a base rate of $55/hr with afternoon loading to $63.25/hr and night loading to $71.50/hr, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified A-Grade Electrician with industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience with three-phase, motors, drives and control systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical breakdowns and faults promptly.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.

• Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues to minimise downtime.

$55/hr base rate

Afternoon shift loading of 15% – $63.25/hr

Night shift loading of 30% – $71.50/hr

Overtime paid at applicable penalty rates

38-hour full-time week + regular overtime opportunities

The role

As a Shift Electrician, you'll play a critical role in keeping production moving.

You'll be responsible for responding to electrical breakdowns, completing planned and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment to minimise downtime.

You'll work closely with Production and other Maintenance team members to keep our plant operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Responding quickly to electrical breakdowns and equipment faults
• Completing preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Fault-finding across three-phase systems, motors, drives and control systems
• Diagnosing electrical and instrumentation issues
• Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Completing maintenance records and documentation
• Working closely with Production and other trades to minimise downtime
• Maintaining high standards of WHS, food safety and hygiene

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified A-Grade / unrestricted Electrician with strong industrial or manufacturing experience.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing or heavy industry
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with three-phase, motors, drives and control systems
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on shift
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work afternoon and night shifts

The roster

This is an afternoon/night shift position.

The night shift roster operates on a 4-on / 4-off rotation during winter, transitioning to 5–6 day weeks during the summer peak period.

There are also regular opportunities to work overtime.
