Job summary

Morgan Consulting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a large-established manufacturing operation on the Central Coast, NSW. The role is hands-on, across automated production and packaging equipment, with a strong focus on fault finding, PLC-controlled equipment, preventative maintenance and plant reliability.

You will work with maintenance, engineering and production teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently, minimise downtime and resolve recurring issues.

Qualifications

• Australian Electrical Licence and trade qualification.
• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing advantageous.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Hands-on with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems.
• Experience maintaining automated production equipment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a large, established manufacturing operation on the Central Coast.

This is a hands-on electrical maintenance role working across automated production and packaging equipment, with a strong focus on fault finding, PLC-controlled equipment, preventative maintenance and plant reliability.

You'll work closely with the wider maintenance, engineering and production teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently, minimise downtime and resolve recurring equipment issues.

The Roster

This is a permanent Sunday to Wednesday position:

• Sunday: 5:00am – 1:30pm

• Monday to Wednesday: 12:00pm – 10:30pm

• Thursday to Saturday: Off

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system faults

• Fault find on Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC-controlled equipment

• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime

• Complete planned and preventative maintenance

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Australian Electrical Licence and relevant trade qualification

• Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment

• Experience within food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing highly regarded

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems

• Experience maintaining automated production equipment

• Good understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively alongside production and other trades

You don't need to be a PLC programmer, but you do need to be comfortable using PLC systems to diagnose faults and understand what's happening with the equipment.
