Job summary

Hire a Hubby in Sydney seeks a hands-on handyman with carpentry and property-maintenance skills to complete varied tasks safely and to a high standard. You will own each job from arrival to completion, confirm scope, protect the site and communicate progress with clients and the office.

• Carpentry or property-maintenance skills with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Current White Card and any licences/tickets required for assigned work.
• Proven ability to manage and complete jobs in set timeframes with limited supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer-service skills.
• Impeccable personal presentation, a can-do attitude and ability to work independently as part of a small team.
• Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia, satisfactory references and willingness to undertake a police check.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and carpentry work to the confirmed scope, quality standard and timeframe.
• Review instructions, plan tools/materials and raise access, scope, safety or delay issues early.
• Communicate arrival, progress and completion clearly with clients, the office and other trades.
• Take clear before, progress (where relevant) and after photos and attach them to the correct job.
• Submit a daily job memo stating work completed, current status, remaining work, materials and return visits.
• Record hours, breaks, notes, receipts and materials accurately against the correct job each day.
• Protect client property, keep the site safe and tidy, dispose of waste correctly and care for tools/equipment.
