Job summary

Glenco Building and Maintenance is seeking a hands-on Carpenter & Maintenance Technician to join our Sydney team. The role covers deck building, roof repairs and general property maintenance across residential and commercial sites, with variety and ongoing client work.

You'll read plans, work independently or with a crew, and uphold safety and quality standards. A White Card and current manual driving licence are required, with company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified carpentry experience for carpentry/building maintenance.
• Ideally 3+ years (Post Apprenticeship) experience.
• Current manual driver's licence (vehicle provided).
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• White Card required; additional tickets (e.g., EWP) advantageous.
• Commitment to workplace safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work including framing, decking, doors, windows.
• General building maintenance and repairs.
• Work independently and as part of a team on multiple job sites.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, skilled Carpenter & Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role is varied, with no two days the same — you might be building a deck one day, repairing a roof the next, or doing detailed property maintenance work for long‑term clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of Carpentry work including framing, decking, doors, windows, flooring
• General building maintenance and repairs including plastering, painting, roofing, tiling etc
• Work independently and as part of a team on multiple job sites
• Ensure all work meets our quality and safety standards

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Carpentry experience for carpentry/building maintenance
• Ideally 3+ years (Post Apprenticeship) experience
• Current driver’s licence – Manual (company vehicle provided)
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills including attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and workmanship
• White Card required. Other relevant tickets will be advantageous (EWP etc)
