Job summary

Dwyer Quality Homes is seeking a motivated Maintenance Officer to join our team in Brisbane. This full-time role services homes across North and South Brisbane, with support from our Head Office on the Sunshine Coast.

You will respond to homeowner maintenance and warranty requests, coordinate trades, and personally carry out maintenance and repair works when appropriate. A hands-on role that blends practical skills with strong organisation and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential maintenance or warranty work.
• Practical handyman skills with ability to carry out a range of maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• White Card and current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to homeowner maintenance and warranty requests in a professional and timely manner
• Assess maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and rectification works as required
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and trades for specialised maintenance works
• Conduct inspections to identify defects and maintenance requirements
• Maintain regular communication with homeowners regarding maintenance progress and outcomes
• Assist Construction Supervisors with site inspections, defect management, and general support duties
• Ensure all maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, completed works, and associated documentation
• Travel throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas to attend homes and maintenance appointments

Dwyer Quality Homes is seeking a motivated and versatile Maintenance Officer to join our growing team. This full-time role is based in Brisbane and services homes across both North and South Brisbane, with support from our Head Office on the Sunshine Coast.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to homeowner maintenance and warranty requests, coordinating trades where required, and personally carrying out maintenance and repair works when appropriate. This is a hands-on role that combines practical maintenance skills with organisation and customer service.

You will also provide assistance to our Construction Supervisors from time to time, supporting site operations and helping ensure projects and maintenance works are completed efficiently and to Dwyer Quality Homes' high standards.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in residential construction, maintenance, warranty, or a related field
• Practical handyman or trade skills with the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks
• Strong understanding of residential building practices
• Ability to coordinate and manage trades when required
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Current driver's licence
• Trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential
• Experience in residential warranty and maintenance work will be highly regarded
