Rio Tinto Bell Bay Aluminium is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintainer or Boilermaker to join our maintenance team in Bell Bay, Tasmania. This permanent role offers a safety-focused environment and opportunities for career development and technical growth.

You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance on mechanical and fixed plant equipment, diagnose faults, raise work orders, and contribute to reliability initiatives with operations teams.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Performing planned and breakdown maintenance on mechanical and fixed plant equipment
• Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying equipment faults and defects
• Raising notifications and completing work orders through our maintenance management system
• Supporting defect elimination and equipment reliability initiatives
• Completing maintenance activities safely and in line with work instructions and procedures
• Undertaking equipment commissioning and post-maintenance checks
• Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance
• Identifying opportunities to improve safety, reliability and maintenance practices

What You’ll Bring

• A relevant Australian-recognised Mechanical / Fitter / Boilermaker trade qualification
• Experience maintaining mechanical equipment, ideally within mining, heavy industry or fixed plant environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

• C Class driver's licence
