Rio Tinto is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintainer for our Bell Bay Aluminium maintenance team in Northern Tasmania. You will perform planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance across our plant and equipment to keep assets safe, reliable and available.

You will work closely with your team to diagnose faults, carry out isolations, testing and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement and asset reliability initiatives.

Formación

• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification required.
• Current Australian A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Valid C Class driver’s licence.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in industrial or heavy industry environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Perform planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical plant and equipment.
• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults and defects.
• Raise notifications and complete work orders in CMMS.
• Undertake electrical isolations, testing and commissioning per site procedures.
• Identify defects and provide feedback on asset condition and reliability.
• Support defect elimination and asset reliability initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with safety requirements.
• Conduct post-maintenance testing, commissioning and clean-up to return equipment to service.
• Collaborate with other trades to minimise downtime.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintainer to join our maintenance team at Bell Bay Aluminium.

In this role, you will carry out planned and breakdown electrical maintenance across our plant and equipment, helping ensure our assets remain safe, reliable and available. You will work closely with your team to identify and rectify faults, complete preventative maintenance and contribute to improvements in asset reliability and performance.

You’ll be responsible for

• Performing planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical plant and equipment
• Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults and equipment defects
• Raising notifications and completing work orders through our maintenance management systems
• Undertaking electrical isolations, testing and commissioning activities in accordance with site procedures
• Identifying defects and providing accurate feedback on asset condition, performance and reliability
• Supporting defect elimination, continuous improvement and asset reliability initiatives
• Ensuring maintenance activities are completed in accordance with work orders, job instructions and relevant safety requirements
• Undertaking post-maintenance testing, commissioning and clean-up to safely return equipment to service
• Working collaboratively with other trades and operational teams to safely minimise equipment downtime

• A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• An Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
• A current Australian A Grade Electrical Licence
• A valid C Class driver’s licence
• Experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, heavy industry or fixed plant environment
• Demonstrated electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues
