Job summary

SCT Logistics is seeking a hands-on Shunter/Train Driver based in Broken Hill, NSW. You will be responsible for safe and efficient shunting, following SCT Rail policies, and maintaining high safety standards in a busy rail yard.

Ideal candidates will hold Shunting & Train Driving Qualifications, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be physically fit to meet the job's demands. A team-oriented mindset and commitment to safety are essential. Pre-employment checks apply.

Job Description

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the positionincludes the following responsibilities:

• Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activities
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail’s policies and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety in the workplace
• Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
• A strong customer focus orientation
• Be able to work in a team environment and in some cases unsupervised

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Shunting & Train Driving Qualifications.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid C Class Driver’s License
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Be reasonably fit and agile to meet the demands of the job.
