Job summary

Australia Post’s Sydney Parcel Facility is hiring a Mail Sorting Officer for a permanent part-time role. You’ll support the preparation of letters, parcels and Express Post items and help load/unload mail from bags and containers. Be part of a team focused on safety, reliability and timely delivery in a busy processing centre.

The role offers entry-level exposure to large-scale operations, with pathways to future opportunities in processing, delivery and logistics across the business.

Qualifications

• Flexible and willing to work extra hours when needed.
• Detail-focused, reliable and able to handle mail and parcels up to 16kg.
• Communicate clearly, work proactively and support teammates in busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mail for delivery and assist with processing letters and parcels.
• Sort mail that can’t be machine-processed and help load/unload mail from bags.
• Operate and work with processing equipment and hand pallet devices.
• Contribute to safe, efficient workflows in the facility.
