Job summary

Hyqual Australia Pty Ltd in Caloundra is seeking a reliable Machine Operator / Production Team Member to operate plastic injection moulding machines and assist with finishing and metallising processes. You will load/unload moulds, trim parts, inspect for defects, and help keep the production area safe and tidy.

Experience in plastics moulding is advantageous but not essential; strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic injection moulding machines and monitor production.

• Prepare parts for metallising and lacquering.
• Operate vacuum metallising equipment with appropriate training.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with other production tasks as needed.

Machine Operator /Production Team Member

We are a long-established Caloundra-based manufacturer seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator / Production Team Member to join our manufacturing team. The role involves operating plastic injection moulding machines, preparing moulded components for metallising and lacquering, and assisting with general production tasks as required.

Key responsibilities

Assist with the operation and monitoring of plastic injection moulding machines.

Load and unload moulds and production equipment as required, following established procedures to ensure consistent product quality.

Remove, trim and finish injection-moulded plastic components.

Inspect moulded parts for defects, identify and report production issues, defective parts or machine irregularities.

Prepare plastic parts for metallising and lacquering.

Operate vacuum metallising equipment following appropriate training and safety procedures.

Inspect completed metallised products for finish quality and consistency.

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area.

Assist with other production tasks as required.

About you

Previous experience operating injection moulding machines or working in plastics manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential.

High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality products.

The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the possibility of full-time employment for the right applicant.
