Job summary

Chandler Recruitment is seeking experienced Machine Operators and High Reach Forklift Drivers to join a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Melbourne. The role requires operating processing machinery and high reach forklifts, with a focus on safety and quality.

Suitable candidates will have manufacturing or warehouse experience, a valid forklift licence with high reach experience, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator and/or High Reach Forklift Driver.
• Valid forklift licence with high reach experience.
• Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG experience highly regarded.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow SOPs, production procedures and safety requirements.
• Good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and repetitive production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing machines safely and efficiently.
• Operate high reach forklifts to move and store materials as required.
• Ensure production goods meet required quality standards.
• Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as required.
• Monitor and inspect produced goods throughout the processing stage.
• Report machine malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all health, safety and workplace procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
• Accurately record production quantities, machine operations and maintenance activities.
• Assist with all processing, warehouse and production activities as required.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators and High Reach Forklift Drivers to join a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, processing or warehouse experience who are confident operating machinery and/or high reach forklifts and are looking for ongoing work in a clean and professional production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing machines safely and efficiently
• Operate high reach forklifts to move and store materials as required
