Job summary

Asahi Beverages in Welshpool, WA seeks a Machine Operator to operate and maintain production line equipment, perform quality testing, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires contributing to safety, quality, and asset care across shifts.

The successful candidate will have experience with FMCG production lines, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coach teammates in a fast-paced environment. 12-hour shifts on a 24/5 roster are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and maintaining production line equipment, ideally in FMCG.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to quality.
• Confident communicator with the ability to coach and collaborate in a team.
• Continuous improvement mindset with Lean Manufacturing exposure highly regarded.
• Comfortable with computer systems for reporting and process management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain beverage production line equipment, including size and flavour changes.
• Monitor product quality, perform testing and calibration, and report findings.
• Carry out daily cleaning, inspections and corrective maintenance to sustain efficiency.
• Support preventative maintenance and periodic shutdowns to rebuild equipment.
• Coach and guide team members to foster a culture of performance and improvement.
• Champion safety, quality and asset care in all duties.

Join our team at Asahi Beverages in Welshpool, WA as a Machine Operator and play a key role in delivering the high-quality products our consumers love. Working with our beverage manufacturing equipment, you’ll operate and maintain machinery, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and quality standards every shift.

Please note: this role will require availability across a 24/5-day roster including day and night - 12hr shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain beverage manufacturing equipment, including size and flavour changes.
• Monitor product quality, completing testing, calibration and reporting to ensure compliance.
• Conduct daily cleaning, inspections and corrective maintenance to maintain efficiency.
• Support preventative maintenance and shutdowns to rebuild equipment to standard.
• Coach and guide team members, contributing to a culture of performance and improvement.
• Champion safety, quality and asset care in every aspect of work.
