Job summary

Asahi Beverages, a Melbourne-based beverage group, seeks a process engineer to shape liquid-processing concepts for brewing, beverage and utilities projects. You will translate needs into clear design inputs while coordinating with site experts and capital teams on a national scope.

In this role, you will develop process descriptions, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and guide front-end decisions to deliver reliable, automated manufacturing processes across multiple sites, including

Qualifications

• Deep process engineering experience in beverage or related manufacturing.
• Chemical engineering expertise applied to liquid-process design and automated systems.
• Understanding of process safety methods and regulatory requirements.

• Shape concept designs and project scopes for brewing, beverage, syrup and utilities projects, translating operational requirements into practical process solutions.
• Develop process descriptions, policies and technical standards that support safe, automated and reliable manufacturing processes.
• Guide site and capital teams through process design decisions, drawing reviews and front-end engineering to strengthen project outcomes.
• Lead process hazard assessments and hazardous-area compliance activities covering chemicals, flammable materials, dangerous goods and combustible materials.
• Partner with project managers, engineering partners and site specialists to gather inputs and produce robust, fit-for-purpose designs.

• Influence significant investment across liquid processing, utilities and process safety within Asahi Beverages’ manufacturing operations.
• Work across brewing, beverage and syrup processes, supporting projects from early concept and scoping through design and implementation.
• Operate as a trusted technical specialist, partnering with site experts, capital teams and external engineering partners across a national remit.

Your Impact

Shape the concepts and engineering standards behind safe, reliable liquid-processing systems across Asahi Beverages’ manufacturing network. You will turn operational needs into clear scopes, process descriptions and robust design inputs for brewing, beverage, syrup and utilities projects. Your day will combine process design, technical reviews, safety assessments and practical support for site and capital teams. As a trusted technical specialist, you will bring the right people together and define what good process engineering looks like from concept through to implementation.

This role has national remit, and can be either Melbourne, VIC or Brisbane/Gold Coast, QLD based.

About You

• You bring deep process engineering experience from beverage, brewing, dairy, liquid food, utilities (oil & gas) or another complex process-manufacturing environment.
• You apply chemical engineering expertise to liquid-process design, automated systems, valve manifolds and supporting utilities.
• You understand process safety methods, hazardous areas, chemical management and the regulatory requirements affecting manufacturing sites.
• You translate complex operational needs into clear concepts, process descriptions, design requirements and practical engineering advice.
• You work with self-awareness and sound judgement, seeking specialist input, responding constructively to challenge and influencing experienced technical stakeholders.
