Job summary

Glenpar Plantation, a 95-acre Macadamia farm in Lindendale, NSW, seeks a full-time casual farm-hand to perform diverse duties across the plantation. The role requires hands-on experience, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently with guidance from the farm manager.

The position offers an attractive hourly wage ($35–$45) based on experience, with accommodation optional as part of the package and potential for extra hours during harvest, in a modern 2-bedroom cottage on site.

Qualifications

• Farming or horticulture experience and confidence working outdoors.
• Current Australian driver’s licence essential.
• Ability to operate farm machinery including tractors, forklift, small excavator, mobile chipper, mower etc. as well as light maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and keep all equipment and workspace clean.
• Excavator operation experience/tickets advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Orchard maintenance – mowing, mulching, trimming, native bee management
• Weed & pest management – slashing, spraying, rodent baiting
• Harvest time from February to July – harvesting, mowing, dehusking
• Tree maintenance – branch removal, stumping, chipping and planting

$35 – $45 per hour based on experience and package

Glenpar Plantation is a family‑owned, 95acre Macadamia farm in the rolling hills of Lindendale in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. We are blessed with rich volcanic soils, warm summers, cool winters and regular rainfall supporting around 7500 trees and onsite dehusking facility.

The role:

We are seeking a full‑time casual farm‑hand to carry out a wide variety of day‑to‑day duties across the plantation. Will suit an energetic, motivated self‑starter,with a solid work ethic who is able to work independently with onsite guidance and training provided by our farm manager.

Prior experience working in a similar environment is essential along with a hands‑on, safety conscious approach to operating machinery.

Attractive wage package for an average 35hr week, with flexible terms to minimise weather impacts.

Option for accommodation as part of package, in a modern 2 bedroom air‑conditioned, fully furnished timber cottage with a large carport, in amongst the trees. Opportunity for a couple with potential for additional casual hours available during harvest.

Key responsibilities:
