Job summary

Macadamia Farm Management in Queensland’s Bundaberg region is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support the Farm Manager in delivering safe, efficient and productive day-to-day operations on a thriving macadamia property in Childers.

This hands-on leadership role will involve machinery operation, irrigation management, supervising staff and contractors, mentoring team members, and driving productivity while upholding our values.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence is required.
• Proven experience in agricultural or farming operations.
• Experience with chemical handling and application, machinery operation and irrigation systems.
• Strong understanding of team leadership, task coordination and workplace safety.
• Experience using farm software, record-keeping systems and electronic time and attendance platforms.
• Sound administrative skills, including ordering, invoicing and reporting.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable, can-do attitude.
• Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to the Farm Manager, ensuring farming activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Lead by example through hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations, including machinery operation and irrigation management.

About the Role
