Job summary

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a M365 Specialist for Canberra to engineer, configure and operate core M365 and Azure environments within a highly regulated program. The role focuses on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related workloads, with strong identity and security duties.

The successful candidate will manage Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, RBAC, and governance, while providing L2/L3 operational support and runbook documentation.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams governance, tenant-level configuration, and group-based licensing.
• Advanced Microsoft Entra ID management, Conditional Access, MFA, and least-privilege administration.
• Azure subscription management, RBAC, and core Azure networking/security fundamentals.
• Strong L2/L3 support background, ITIL change/incident processes, and administrative automation using PowerShell.
• Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Purview, Intune, Microsoft Sentinel, or ITAR/FMS environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, and operate core M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related workloads.
• Implement and maintain identity controls using Microsoft Entra ID (roles, conditional access policies, MFA, and privileged access management).
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, and identity integrations supporting M365 workloads.
• Enforce platform baselines, security controls, and information protection per governance standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex platform incidents, service degradations, and operational issues while executing approved changes.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and as-built records for audits.
