Job summary

MacKellar Group, located in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast, is seeking an experienced mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will repair and maintain light and heavy vehicles and ancillary equipment, ensuring high safety and reliability standards are met in a busy workshop.

The role runs Monday to Friday with 10-hour days and potential overtime, offering a permanent opportunity within a company known for its safety culture and employee programs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a light vehicle mechanic in a workshop
• Strong safety focus and reliability

Your new role

• Be involved with all areas of light vehicle, heavy vehicle and ancillary equipment (cars, truck and trailers, generators, lighting towers etc) repair and maintenance, including fault finding and troubleshooting, both scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Work Monday-Friday, 10hr days with optional overtime pending business needs
• Be self-motivated and able to work as directedBe highly committed to maintaining safe and clean work environment.

• Prior experience in a light vehicle mechanic role within a workshop environment
• Reliable and safety oriented
• Mechanically minded with eagerness to learn
• Adaptable personality with the ability to work in a team facing demanding project deadlines.
