Job summary

Spicers Peak Lodge seeks a hands-on General Manager to lead luxury guest experiences and strategic growth in Queensland’s high country. You will report to the Regional General Manager and drive overall property management, budgeting, revenue targets, and brand standards across the lodge.

As the leader, you will mentor current and future managers, champion a culture of excellence, and build strong local partnerships while delivering bespoke guest experiences in a remote, high-altitude setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as General Manager in luxury lodge or boutique brand.
• Strong experience in food & beverage, preferably high-end or fine dining.
• Solid business acumen with ability to manage P&L and optimize costs.
• Proven leadership to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
• Hands-on approach with proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every guest experience exceeds expectations by upholding luxury brand standards.
• Inspire, mentor, and grow leaders to foster excellence and development.
• Provide hands-on leadership across both hotels, refining operational standards and safeguarding assets.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and drive incremental revenue; analyse performance for growth opportunities.
• Align with SBH’s strategic goals and brand standards while advocating for change and innovation.
• Build strong local partnerships and champion marketing initiatives to strengthen brand awareness.
