Job summary

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our Restaurants & Bars team. You will guide service during peak times across The Fireplace, Club InterContinental, Verandah Restaurant & Bar, and Lagoon Beach Club, ensuring guests enjoy the luxury Experience with warm, personalised service.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to support the team, rostering, and daily

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in a Food & Beverage team leadership role.
• Experience in luxury hotel, resort, restaurant or premium hospitality environment.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of Restaurants & Bars outlets to highest standards.
• Lead, coach and motivate Food & Beverage Attendants to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Provide warm, personalised service and act as a visible leader during service periods.
• Assist rostering and workforce planning to meet operational needs.
• Monitor service standards and provide coaching for team development.
• Build relationships with guests, colleagues and stakeholders across the Resort.
• Assist inventory management, stock ordering and stock control.
• Ensure training records and compliance are up to date.
• Drive departmental performance with focus on guest satisfaction and efficiency.
• Resolve guest concerns with a solution-focused approach.
• Participate in meetings, briefings and training sessions for effective communication.
• Maintain Workplace Health & Safety and food safety standards; adhere to RSA regulations.
• Uphold brand standards, policies and values.
