Job summary

The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart invites applications for a Porter/Valet Attendant to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage and parking, and guide guests to their rooms. This role is central to delivering the personalised luxury experience the hotel is known for.

You will coordinate with Front Office and other departments, maintain the entrance presentation, and uphold Marriott and Luxury Collection standards while working a rotating roster, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel/hospitality or valet preferred.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and departure with warm, professional, and personalised service.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner.
• Assist guests with luggage delivery, collection, and storage.
• Escort guests to their rooms and provide an introduction to hotel facilities and services.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, ensuring exceptional service at every interaction.
• Provide accurate information and recommendations about the hotel, local attractions, and transport options.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel entrance, porte cochère, and lobby areas.
• Coordinate effectively with Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures.
• Handle guest belongings with care while maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, including safe driving practices and valet procedures.
• Uphold Marriott and Luxury Collection brand standards in every guest interaction.
• Support the Front Office team with additional operational duties as required.
