Job summary

David Jones in Canberra is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to promote safety and security across the store. You will mitigate risk through surveillance, stock loss management, and the implementation of safety policies.

Day-to-day duties include monitoring risk, incident reporting, maintaining store safety and contractor compliance, and building relationships with centre management, local police and retailers. A current Security Licence and First Aid Certificate are required.

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be empowered to play a key role in promoting safety and security across the store. By mitigating risk through overt and covert operations, and through the implementation of Stock Loss Management policies and procedures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to start their career in the Loss Prevention field, learning the fundamental concepts of Risk Management & Stock Loss while having expectational administration & investigative skills.

What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

• You will be monitoring and implementing risk management policies
• You will do incident reporting, both internal & external
• You will do stock loss management tasks
• You will maintain store safety
• You will maintain contractor compliance
• You will build relationships with centre management, local police & other retailers
• You will monitor inventory management
• You will be a WHS representative
• You will operate cameras & surveillance (overt & covert)
