Glencore Australia’s Ulan West mine is seeking a Senior Automation Lead to drive and develop automation across the longwall department. You will deliver world‑class management and security of mission‑critical mining systems and OT networks.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will implement GCAA/Ulan West standards for OT networks, support SCADA and PLC control systems, and build site capability to design, develop and maintain longwall automation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in electrical, mechanical or software engineering (Advanced Diploma or Bachelor).
• In-depth knowledge of modern longwall operation.
• Experience with OT networks, SCADA and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, drive and develop automation across the longwall department.
• Implement GCAA/Ulan West OT network standards and support SCADA/PLC systems.
• Troubleshoot longwall automation issues and rapidly restore functionality.
• Build the capability of site resources to design, develop and maintain automation.
