Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of nanny/childcare experience.
• Australian-based child-related references (2+).
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• National Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Care for a 20-month-old throughout the day on Thursdays.
• Drop-off and pick-up for the 4-year-old at daycare.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for children.
• Engage in age-appropriate activities, outdoor play and reading.
• Light household tasks related to children and light meal prep.

Our warm, welcoming, and busy Newtown family is seeking a nurturing, confident, and energetic nanny to care for their two young children: their happy and curious 20-month-old daughter and their son, who is turning 4 shortly.

The role is one full day per week on Thursdays, with the opportunity for additional evening babysitting, ad hoc Friday and weekend days/evenings. The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted and valued part of their family.

Mum and Dad are both business owners with an office close by and often work from home, but they give their nanny full autonomy. They’re looking for someone who is proactive, confident, organised, and able to take initiative throughout the day.

On Thursdays, you’ll care for the 20-month-old throughout the day while also taking their 4-year-old to daycare in the morning and collecting him in the afternoon. The children enjoy music, dancing, reading, outdoor adventures, creative play and age-appropriate activities, with the family encouraging a screen-free lifestyle.

The family’s gentle Labrador is also very much part of the home, so a nanny who is comfortable around dogs would be ideal.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Caring for a 20-month-old throughout the day
