Qualifications

• 3+ years of international freight forwarding experience in Australia.
• Strong working knowledge of AQIS and customs requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Advanced Excel and Office 365 skills. Strong customer service.
• CargoWise One experience (preferred, not essential).
• A current police check, or the ability to complete one immediately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily FCL, LCL and airfreight shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Lead AQIS and customs compliance, including pay-in entries and fumigation/inspection bookings.
• Keep every job accurate and current in CargoWise, including loading transport invoices to each job.
• Monitor deliveries closely, making sure deadlines are met and documentation is spot-on.
• Protect margins by ensuring empty containers are collected and dehired within free time.

Job Description

As a Logistics Specialist at CAS, you'll manage daily operational activity across a diverse freight portfolio while acting as a trusted advisor on transport and distribution. You'll balance precision and pace: keeping shipments compliant, deliveries seamless and client accounts current, while contributing to the strategies that make our operation more efficient and more resilient.

What you'll do

Run the operation

• Coordinate daily FCL, LCL and airfreight shipments from booking through to delivery
• Lead AQIS and customs compliance, including pay-in entries and fumigation/inspection bookings
• Keep every job accurate and current in CargoWise, including loading transport invoices to each job
• Monitor deliveries closely, making sure deadlines are met and documentation is spot-on
• Protect margins by ensuring empty containers are collected and dehired within free time

Advise and influence

• Provide strategic and technical support to line managers on transport and distribution matters
• Help develop and implement transport strategies and action plans that support sustainable, long-term goals
• Contribute pricing input on transport costs for projects and destinations
• Drive continuous improvement and champion workflow processes across the team

Build relationships

• Partner with customers and overseas agents, keeping them informed and confident
• Manage transport providers and resolve issues in line with company procedures
• Work closely with our Manager - Client and Business Services and colleagues across the business
• Respond to every email promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• 3+ years of international freight forwarding experience in Australia, with the depth to work independently and guide others
• Strong working knowledge of AQIS and customs requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Advanced Excel and Office 365 skillsStrong customer service skills and a positive, friendly nature
• CargoWise One experience (preferred, not essential)
• A current police check, or the ability to complete one immediately
