Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced International Logistics Manager (Ocean Freight) to lead ocean freight operations for TJX Australia, ensuring efficient movement of inventory from global vendors to our Processing Centre.

Based at Mascot Head Office with a hybrid work model, you will manage ocean carrier relationships, drive service and cost performance, and partner with Buying, Planning and cross-functional teams to support inventory flow.

• Proven experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain leadership role.
• Experience managing direct ocean carriers, freight forwarders and NVOCC partnerships.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Logistics, you'll lead our International Logistics Operations - Ocean operation, overseeing key relationships with direct ocean carriers, NVOCCs and freight forwarders. You'll play a key role in driving service excellence, cost performance, supply chain efficiency, and continuous improvement across our international logistics network.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the International Logistics Operations - Ocean team, ensuring the efficient movement of inventory from overseas vendors to our Processing Centre.
• Manage direct ocean carrier, NVOCC and freight forwarding partnerships to achieve service, compliance, cost and performance objectives.
• Partner with Buying, Planning and cross-functional teams to support inventory flow and business priorities.
• Monitor global ocean freight market conditions, carrier performance, capacity trends and industry developments, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency and cost outcomes.
• Deliver against operational KPIs and service standards.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external logistics providers.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain leadership role managing direct ocean carriers, freight forwarders and NVOCC partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of international ocean freight operations, carrier networks, transportation markets and capacity management.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to analyse market intelligence and assess impacts across the supply chain.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and building effective partnerships across functions.
• A continuous improvement mindset and passion for operational excellence.
