ACT Steelworks in Queanbeyan, NSW, is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to streamline deliveries, pickups and subcontractor coordination across our projects. You will ensure materials arrive on time and maintain clear records and communications with suppliers, freight providers and clients.

You are hands-on, highly organised and ready to take ownership of planning, problem solving and documentation to keep projects moving in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deliveries, pickups and transport schedules.

• Maintain accurate records, freight documentation and delivery paperwork.
• Assist with stock coordination and inventory control.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to anticipate requirements and resolve issues.
• Verify pack lists and load preparations; ensure procedures are followed.
• Provide administrative and logistical support across multiple projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to support our operations team. This role is critical to ensuring materials, freight, deliveries and subcontractor activities are planned, coordinated and documented efficiently.

You'll be the link between our workshop, suppliers, freight providers, subcontractors, drivers and clients, ensuring everyone has the information they need and jobs run smoothly from start to finish.

This role requires someone who can think ahead, adapt quickly, communicate confidently with people at all levels, and take ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deliveries, pickups and transport schedules.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, freight companies and subcontractors.
• Monitor production requirements and ensure materials are available when required.
• Maintain accurate records, freight documentation and delivery paperwork.
• Assist with stock coordination and inventory control.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to anticipate upcoming requirements and resolve issues before they become problems.
• Verify pack lists, fixings, consumables and load preparations where required.Ensure company procedures and systems are followed consistently.
• Provide administrative and logistical support across multiple projects simultaneously.

About You

• Previous logistics, transport or supply chain coordination experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping.
• Willingness to be hands-on and assist with checking loads, packaging and materials when required.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving ability.
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel between sites as required.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication, manufacturing or construction processes will be highly regarded.
