Job summary

Tablelands Civil Constructions is seeking a reliable Truck Driver / Multi-Skilled Plant Operator to join our Cairns team. The role covers local work across Cairns, the Tablelands and FNQ, with occasional site travel. You’ll operate heavy vehicles and a range of civil plant, supporting our projects with safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Construction White Card
• Experience operating heavy vehicles in a civil construction environment
• Experience operating civil construction plant is highly desirable
• Plant tickets/accreditation including excavator, loader, dozer, grader, roller or skid steer
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work across Cairns, the Tablelands and surrounding FNQ areas
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Operating truck and heavy vehicles for the transport of materials, plant and equipment
• Operating a range of civil construction machinery, including excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, skid steers and other plant
• Loading, unloading and securing plant, materials and equipment
• Completing daily pre-starts, vehicle and plant inspections
• Carrying out general civil construction and labouring duties when required
• Assisting with site preparation, earthworks, roadworks and other civil construction activities
• Working safely around other workers, plant, vehicles and the public
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Following project specifications, site procedures and safety requirements
• Working effectively as part of a team and independently when required
