Job summary

Hipcamp is seeking a Local Host Advocate in the Blue Mountains to develop a private-land host network. You’ll leverage existing agricultural ties to connect landowners with Hipcamp, driving new host opportunities and selected commercial camping deals in the region.

You’ll spend time meeting landowners, prospecting, and representing Hipcamp at local events. The role offers an hourly wage plus a bonus for each new host brought live, with autonomy and entrepreneurial freedom.

Qualifications

• Must have deep familiarity with the Blue Mountains agricultural community.
• At least 1 year in sales, business development, or relationship-building.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
• Persistent, comfortable with rejection.
• Valid driver license, reliable transport, and car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your existing agricultural and local community network to generate new host opportunities.

• Conduct in-person prospecting, property visits, and sales meetings.
• Generate opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise enter Hipcamp’s digital sales funnel.
• Identify and pursue relevant commercial camping opportunities, including local caravan parks and established campgrounds.
• Attend farmers markets, agricultural events, shows, field days, and community gatherings.
• Maintain your pipeline in CRM and partner with the broader sales team.
• Share local market insights and identify opportunities for Hipcamp to grow.

Local Host Advocate (Blue Mountains, NSW)

Hipcamp is looking for a relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to help us build a new field sales channel in the Blue Mountains, NSW region.

This role is specifically for someone who already has relationships and credibility within the Blue Mountains agricultural and farming community. You’ll leverage your existing network to connect Hipcamp with farmers, graziers, landowners, and other property owners interested in generating new income from their land.

While the primary focus of the role is growing Hipcamp’s private-land host network, you’ll also identify relevant commercial camping opportunities in this market, such as independent caravan parks and established campgrounds.

You’ll spend your time meeting landowners in person, generating new leads, visiting properties, re-engaging hard-to-reach prospects, and representing Hipcamp at local agricultural and community events.

You’ll be compensated on an hourly basis, plus you'll be eligible for a bonus for each new host you bring onto Hipcamp and successfully take live.
