Job summary

Walgett Shire Council is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to support the Property team with regular maintenance of Council properties. This permanent, full-time role is 38 hours per week with every second Friday off, based in Walgett and traveling to other locations as required.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, grounds and facility upkeep, and cleaning, reporting to the Building Maintenance Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Inspections and routine building maintenance
• Ability to operate plant and equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and routine maintenance of Council properties
• Perform grounds and property upkeep and cleaning
• Operate plant equipment and contribute to safe work practices
