Job summary

Walgett Shire Council is seeking an Administration Officer to provide accurate, responsive administrative support across Council as required by priorities. You will be the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling information with confidentiality and discretion to maintain a high standard of service.

This permanent, full-time role works 35 hours per week, with an attractive salary and entitlements.

Job description

  • Working with Council provides stability, interesting work, and community contribution.
  • Attractive weekly rate of $1,266.75 to $1,547.32 depending on skills and experience.
  • 5 weeks annual leave & an additional week of Wellness and Wellbeing Leave (MyLeave) each year.

The Administration Officer provides accurate, responsive and professional administrative support across Council as required by operational priorities. The role is a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handles information with confidentiality and discretion, and maintains a consistently high standard of service.

Depending on skills and experience, the Administration Officer may support one Council Directorate or multiple areas and will need to adapt to changing work assignments. If you are a helpful and team focussed person, in this position you will be able to gain valuable experience and find the support area that suits you best.

This is a permanent, fulltime position working 35 hours per week.
