Job summary

Evolution Mining's Ernest Henry Operations in Queensland is hiring a Loader Operator to safely operate underground loaders and related equipment, keeping underground production moving. You’ll work in a close-knit crew, maintain roadways, monitor safety, and support various underground activities with a strong emphasis on teamwork and operational excellence.

Based at Ernest Henry, you’ll be part of a high-performing mine with a long-life outlook, access to development and training opportunities,

Qualifications

• Experience operating underground loaders and other heavy underground mining equipment.
• Current Manual Driver's Licence; QSEC Card advantageous.
• Strong awareness of underground safety, hazard identification and risk management.
• Ability to work effectively within a team while managing tasks and priorities independently.
• Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground loaders and associated equipment safely and efficiently to support production activities.
• Maintain underground roadways and declines while assisting with material movement and site services.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, report equipment defects and help minimise equipment damage.
• Support other underground activities when trained and competent, including service crew, water truck and relief duties.

As a Loader Operator, you'll play an important role in supporting our underground production team by safely operating loaders and associated equipment to keep mining activities moving efficiently.

Working within a close-knit crew, you'll contribute to production targets, maintain underground roadways and support a range of underground operational activities while upholding Evolution's commitment to safety and performance.

Ideally, you’ll also have:
