Job summary

Evolution Mining's Ernest Henry Operations in Queensland seeks a Loader Operator to safely run underground loaders and related equipment, supporting production targets and maintaining roadways.

Working in a close-knit crew, you’ll conduct pre-start inspections, assist with material movement and contribute to continuous safety and efficiency improvements on site.

Qualifications

• Reliable and safety-focused operator with underground mining experience.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and operational excellence.
• Pride in work and consistent safe-work practices.
• Ideally, experience operating underground loaders and heavy equipment; valid manual driver's licence.

• Maintain underground roadways and declines while assisting with material movement.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, report equipment defects and help minimise equipment damage.
• Support other underground activities when trained and competent, including service crew and relief duties.

What’sthe opportunity?

As a Loader Operator, you’ll play an important role in supporting our underground production team by safely operating loaders and associated equipment to keep mining activities moving efficiently.

Working within a close-knit crew, you’ll contribute to production targets, maintain underground roadways and support a range of underground operational activities while upholding Evolution’s commitment to safety and performance.

Based at our Ernest Henry Operations, you’ll:

• Operate underground loaders and associated equipment safely and efficiently to support production activities
• Maintain underground roadways and declines while assisting with material movement and site services
• Conduct pre-start inspections, report equipment defects and help minimise equipment damage
• Support other underground activities when trained and competent, including service crew, water truck and relief duties.

You’re a reliable and safety-focused operator with underground mining experience and a strong commitment to teamwork and operational excellence. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively and consistently demonstrate safe work practices.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience operating underground loaders and other heavy underground mining equipment
• A current Manual Driver’s Licence, with a QSEC Card advantageous
• Strong awareness of underground safety, hazard identification and risk management
• The ability to work effectively within a team while managing tasks and priorities independently
• A willingness to learn new skills, support team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
