Job summary

Aurizon's Mt Isa team is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator for a full-time permanent role. Primary focus is forklift and loader operations, with opportunities to operate heavy vehicles and gain reach stacker training.

Local residents receive an attractive hourly rate plus location allowance, with roster flexibility by agreement. A HC licence is preferred, and ongoing training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Loader operation experience and confidence around mobile plant.
• HC licence preferred and heavy vehicle experience.
• Reach stacker training/upskilling provided for right candidate.
• Good verbal and written communication and ability to complete pre-starts and reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders as primary function to support site operations.
• Operate heavy vehicles including HC combinations as required.
• Support loading/unloading of containerised product; upskill for reach stacker.
• Complete tasks safely per Aurizon policies and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fatigue and vehicle permits.
