Mercy Health in Victoria is seeking a consumer peer support worker for the Clare Moore Building, Werribee Mercy Hospital. This permanent role is 0.4 EFT and involves psychosocial support, safety planning, recovery planning, and advocacy within a multidisciplinary team.

You bring lived mental health experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or with colleagues. Completion of Intentional Peer Support Training and current checks are required.

Formación

• A lived experience of mental ill-health and treatment within a mental health service.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Completion of Intentional Peer Support Training.
• Awareness of, and commitment to, wellbeing and self-care as it relates to the work.
• A current driver's licence.
• National Police Check, Working with Children Check, evidence of right to work in Australia, and COVID-19 vaccination or exemption.

Responsabilidades

• Contributes effectively to clinical review processes, team activities and multidisciplinary work.
• Assists consumers to be aware of their rights and responsibilities.
• Contributes to recovery-oriented practice and information resources for consumers and families.
• Assists staff to provide information to consumers receiving service.
