Job summary

John Holland is seeking a Site Engineer to deliver refurbishment works in a live hospital environment for the Shoalhaven community. You will report to the Project Engineer and coordinate daily site activities, manage subcontractors and support safe, on-time delivery of works across the hospital precinct.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience as Site/Graduate/Project Engineer in construction.
• Experience in healthcare, refurbishment, or major projects is highly regarded.
• Ability to work in live hospital environments and coordinate complex works.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Manage subcontractors to deliver works safely and on program.
• Assist with planning, look-ahead scheduling, staging and sequencing.
• Support procurement, RFIs, shop drawings and technical docs.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost and program performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and healthcare requirements.
• Collaborate with delivery, design and commercial teams.
• Maintain project records and QA documentation.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
