Empire Group in Sydney is seeking a talented Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyer at the 3 to 8 year level to join their premier team. You will work directly alongside leading Sydney litigation partners on a broad range of high-stakes disputes, including commercial, regulatory investigations, and securities matters, gaining direct client exposure from Day 1 in a lean, high-performance environment.

The role offers rapid progression, mentorship from top-tier partners, and a flat structure

Qualifications

• Experience in a well-respected litigation practice.

• Mentoring junior lawyers (for senior associate level).

Their Litigation & Dispute Resolution team has a premier and high profile client base. Their team is also lean which means you will have direct and meaningful client and be at the coal face from Day 1.

Following sustained growth and headline-making success within the team, the partners are seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyer at the 3 to 8 year pae level.

The Opportunity

Working directly alongside leading Sydney litigation partners you will work on a broad range of complex, high stakes disputes such as:

• High-Stakes Commercial Disputes: Multi-jurisdictional contractual battles, shareholder disputes, and complex corporate litigation.
• Regulatory Investigations & White-Collar Crime: Defending major corporate clients and directors in high-profile ASIC, ACCC, and ICAC investigations.
• Big Ticket Litigation:Robust representation in large-scale securities, consumer, and commercial litigation.
• Other:Advising creditors, administrators, and directors through high-yield corporate collapses.

About You

The partners are looking for a sharp analytical mind. A lawyer who is tenacious, commercially astute, and ready to challenge conventional legal strategies. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Experienced gained from a well-respected litigation practice.
• Exceptional capability to formulate proactive litigation strategies and be able to think outside the box.
• Strong drafting skills, clear legal reasoning, and experience instructing leading barristers.
• If you are a senior associate, a track record of mentoring junior lawyer.
