Job summary

VGW Australia is seeking a Litigation Counsel to join our Legal team in Sydney. You will manage VGW's litigation matters, provide strategic advice on disputes, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to mitigate risk.

You will oversee disputes, arbitration, and regulatory compliance, advising on contracts and internal policies. The role requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal audiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years PQE with strong commercial litigation and regulatory experience.
• Admitted to practise in Australia.
• Ability to translate technical legal information for a lay audience.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing disputes, arbitration, and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel and developing litigation strategies
• Providing oversight on customer or contractual disputes, complaints, and information requests
• Delivering commercial legal advice, reviewing agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising on internal policies and terms of use
