Job summary

MINERAL RESOURCES LIMITED is seeking an experienced Project Geologist for our Wodgina lithium operation, on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will provide essential geological support to maximise recovery and minimise dilution, coordinating with mine engineers and surveyors to integrate models into daily mine plans.

You will lead ore control and data collection, update 3D models, and mentor staff in Leapfrog and related software while maintaining QA/QC across geological databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Applied Geology) or equivalent is mandatory.
• Experience in open pit production and hard rock is desirable.
• Proficiency in geological modelling software and database management systems.
• Strong understanding of RC drilling, sampling, logging, mapping, and open pit mining methods.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coach and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily ore control and grade monitoring activities.
• Conduct geological mapping and logging.
• Develop blast hole sampling plans to inform the grade control model.
• Interpret geological data and update 3D models in line with operational requirements.
• Create dig blocks to support mining in a timely manner.
• Upskill staff in software including Leapfrog for drillhole wireframing and organise training.
• Liaise with mine planning, laboratory and production teams to ensure continuous geological support.
• Maintain geological databases with QA/QC checks and analysis.
• Conduct geological model reconciliation and end-of-month processes.
